Clayton is a genuine Midwestern farm-turned-theatre boy. Born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, Clayton grew up attending cattle shows and raising chickens. Now he enjoys life attending the theatre and raising spirits as an actor, singer, director, musician, and instructor. A Drury University Theatre and Music graduate, he loves being able to teach and perform all around the country.

Whether it’s a crazy old man, a rambunctious teenager, a ruler with a Napoleon complex, or a Shakespeare classic, Clayton prides himself on being a man for all roles. From a giant 35,000 square foot arena to a tiny 150 square foot thrust; from the intelligent humor found in the world of Beckett to the low-brow laughs found in Branson, Missouri, Clayton’s work comes down to one thing: versatility.

Clayton also adores working with children, directing local youth productions and instructing youth programs. He jumps at the chance to put his directing and musical skills to use as well, serving as a director, music director, and vocal instructor. Best of all, Clayton loves his “job,” and is thrilled to see what’s next.

 

In his limited precious free time, Clayton enjoys spending time with friends and family, learning new things, reading, hovering over a jigsaw puzzle while bingeing his favorite shows, and gaming on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
